Private instruction is offered by our staff of professional musicians and educators. We offer instruction in: Violin, Viola, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Drums, Percussion, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, Banjo, and Voice.

Our current lesson rate is $20.00 per 1/2 hour.

Linda Johnston - Piano

BA in Music, Piano/MA in Music, Piano. Staff Accompanist, New England Conservatory; Accompanist for Musical Theater Productions and Recitals. Director of Music at St. John Neuman Church. Extensive private teaching and performance experience.

Ann Lamoureux - Piano

BA Eastman School of Music/ Masters of Music, Indiana University. Affiliated with the New Bedford Symphony, M.M.T.A. and the Chopin Club. Many years private teaching experience.

Matt Richard - Piano/Theory

BA in Piano Performance & Jazz Studies, Westfield State College. Performs as a soloist and accompanist with many different ensembles. Currently the accompanist at St. John the Baptist Church. 22 years teaching experience.

Rob Massoud - Piano/Bass

Bachelors Degree in Music Production & Engineering, Berklee College of Music. Extensive performing experience. Currently plays in several different club bands as well as pit orchestras for area theater productions. Has been teaching private students since 2007.

Audra Arruda - Violin/Viola

BA in Music education, UMass Dartmouth. Currently plays with the Fall River Symphony and as soloist for various area functions. Private teaching since 2007.

Susan Boulay - Violin/Viola

Bachelors Degree in Music, UMass. Member of the New Bedford Symphony and the Furtado Family String Quartet. Staff member for ACE during the summer and a music teacher for the Dartmouth Public Schools. Over 20 years teaching experience.

Michael Coelho - Violin/Viola

BA in Music Education, UMass Lowell. Private studio instructor since 2007. Played viola with the Fall River Symphony, the New Hampshire Philharmonic, and the Waltham Symphony. Member of the Jetset Quartet and the Ives Symphony Rock Quartet.

Bachelors in Violin, Pensacola Christian College/Masters in Viola Performance, UMass Amherst. Past member of the New Life Symphony, Texas. Currently serving as coordinator for the New Bedford SymphonyYouth Orchestra. Over 10 years private teaching experience.

Daniela Chirigotis - Violin

Bachelors in Music Education, Pensacola Christian College/Masters, Bridgewater State. Currently String Specialist for the Fairhaven Public Schools. Member of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra and a Staff Member of the ACE Summer String Program.Over 8 years teaching experience.

Sandra Pinheiro - Violin

Bachelors Degree in Music Education, Rhode Island College. Currently holds a school music position and is a violinist for St Anthony of Padua Church. Past member of the Fall River Symphony. Over 10 years teaching experience.

Wendy Hawes - Flute

BS in Music Education,Flute/ MA in Education. More than 30 years teaching experience. Adjudicator for District and All State Festivals. Professional playing experience includes soloist, wind and chamber ensembles, symphony and theater orchestras. Currently a member of the Sonare Chamber Ensemble performing for weddings and special events.

Chris Williamson - Clarinet

BS in Music Education, Clarinet, Plymouth State College. Currently Instrumental Music Specialist at Rochester Memorial School. Performances with local Theater orchestras & The SouthCoast Jazz Orchestra. Clarinet for National tour of "Oliver!". Extensive experience preparing students for District and all State Festivals. Over 30 years teaching experience.

Tom Short - Woodwinds

Bachelors Degree, Flute Performance, University of Michigan. Performed with a wide variety of groups over the last 30 years. He currently plays throughout New England with the dance/improv. group "The Dancing Dogs" & "Pumpkin Head Ted". Many years studio teaching experience.

John Furtado - Trumpet

Bachelors Degree, Music Education, UMass Lowell. Taught in Sandwich HS, Dartmouth HS, and is currently at Westport H.S. Taught Brass for East Coast Jazz Drum Corps and the Boston Crusaders.

Jack Gomes - Trumpet

Bachelors Degree, Music Education, Trumpet, UMass Dartmouth. Many years as a public school and studio lesson teacher. Extensive performance credits including dates with the Tommy Dorsey Band, Tavares, and the US Air Force Band of the East. Active in the jazz club circuit throughout New England.

Currently playing with "Batteries Not Included". Past drum line instructor for Seekonk HS. Assisted Dartmouth HS Drumline in 1982-83.
